CCC means Coastal Cardiovascular Consultants. It was established by Dr. Enrique Rivera and Dr. Ashok Krishnamurthy. Dr. Rivera had been in Bradenton since 2003 and Dr. Krishnamurthy joined the team in 2008. Both have been in cardiology practice for dozen years.

Dr. Enrique Rivera has been in practice since 1998.
After completing his fellowship at the University of Florida, Gainesville, he remained as an Assistant Professor of Medicine / Interventional Cardiologist at University of Florida. Dr.Rivera has been practicing in Manatee County for the past 13 years. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
Dr.Rivera is a Lieutenant Colonel / Senior Flight Surgeon with the Air Force Reserve. He has participated in multiple deployments around the world including Operation Enduring Freedom 2001. He is an Senior FAA Examiner and regularly performs flight physicals for general aviation pilots.
As a Principal Investigator Dr.Rivera is currently affiliated with Sarah Cannon Research Institute enrolling patients in multiple research studies.
Dr.Rivera is also actively involved in Structural Heart Programs to include Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) at Blake Medical Center and with the Mitral Valve Clip and Watchman Procedures at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Dr.Rivera remains active in aviation as a private pilot and enjoys fishing.

Dr. Ashok Krishnamurthy: has been in practice since 2004. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Further he has sub-specialty certification in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Krishnamurthy was awarded the Dr. Ziady Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Care of the Cardiac Patient (June 2004). This award is for the best Cardiology fellow among the graduating class of 14 fellows.
His special interests include Preventive Cardiology, Cardiac Imaging and heart disease in Women. Dr. Krishnamurthy is actively involved in the TAVR program at Blake Medical Center.

MaryEllen Meiring, MSN, ARNP, FNP-BC has been with our practice for many years. Her background includes internal medicine, urgent care, family practice, women’s health, urogynecology, student health, and cardiology.
She is a graduate of the university of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and holds a BSN (1996), BS-Psychology (1996), and Masters of Science degree in Nursing (1998).
MaryEllen was involved in multiple research studies in nursing and psychology during her college years. She received the Chancellors Award for Excellence and was featured in USA Today as a member of the 1996 All-USA College Academic Team.
MaryEllen has precepted nurse practitioner students in Wisconsin, Indiana, and Florida.
Cheryl Lasater, MS, ARNP, NP-C joined our practice almost 3 years ago. Her background includes internal medicine, emergency medicine, women's health and open heart surgery.
She also has been active in teaching for many of the nursing colleges locally including Galen College, SCF and MTI. She currently works precepting students from USF who are preparing to work as NPs. She is board certified in adult medicine. A graduate of USF-Tampa, she holds a Master's degree in science.
Cheryl is also part of the TAVR team at Blake Medical Center.
